About Me
My name is Petra Horvatic
Master of Sport Science University of Zagreb, Pre and Postnatal Fitness Specialist.
With more than 16 years of experience in the fitness industry. Being a personal trainer in Pilates rehabilitation, teaching group fitness classes in Pilates, Yoga, Aerobic, Tabata and Senior Fitness programs.

Becoming a mother has brought a new focus on my health and fitness ambitions. Having competed and representing my country in international sport, and now having my baby and recovering post natal I now know what is required at all levels that a women can find herself in her fitness journey.  Celebrating women and their ability to transform their body I have realised I want to help more women feel strong and empowered.

Postnatal Fitness and when is it safe to start?
First, congratulations on becoming a mummy! You have done a great job!! Creating that beautiful new life in yourself for the last 10 Months.

Your body has been through a lot. Giving birth is considered as an injury or trauma for your body and it’s time to heal yourself both inside and outside.

Yum Mum Fitness Post Natal Recovery is the program designed for mums by a mum. I focus on consistency, that’s why you will receive 5 workouts per week for better results. 3 Home workouts and 2 Stroller Fitness workouts.
First 8 weeks of your Yum Mum Fitness program focus will be on rehabilitation, so you will strengthen your pelvic floor muscles, repair your core, stretch your tired muscles and build up the ones that you have lost during the pregnancy.
 All the exercises are easy to follow, enjoyable and gentle for your body. They are made up of elements of Pilates, Yoga and body weight strength. The only Cardio you will enjoy will be a nice walk with your baby and exercises in the park. After each workout you will fell better and full of energy.

Disclaimer
Women who had uncomplicated vaginal deliveries can let fatigue be their guide when easing back to fitness.  For most women this is between 4-8 weeks postpartum. Women who had complicated vaginal deliveries should talk to their healthcare providers about the best time to return to exercise. Women who had cesarean births should wait until they get medical clearance at their 6 weeks post-surgical checkup before easing back into fitness.
